So, I went to make sure the lint trap was clean, and everything was red. EVERYTHING. How could this be? There weren't even any pants in this load!
So the cloths went back into the washer, with an amble dosing of spray-n-wash, and the offending tube was thrown out. However, the inside of my dryer was still a fashionable shade of "ruby woo."
WELL, reddit, I started scrubbing and scrubbing, and it would not come off, but then I grabbed a rag that had gotten some spay-n-wash on it, and lo and behold, that crap came right off with some light scrubbing. If you use this method, remember to go through again and rinse off the spray and wash with a wet cloth.
