It's actually much easier than I had anticipated. My main reason for this being the ability to give my own music to musicians that can sight-read on instruments I cannot play.
It took about 5 hours total to learn (to write and memorize the notes on treble and bass clefs at least, nothing fancy), I really thought it would be more difficult.
