EDIT: Ok guys, I only posted this out of interest. Clearly I am not an expert but surely just because you don't understand a film/genre or because it is outside your culture doesn't make it stupid. It is much more culturally acceptable in SE Asia to show lots of singing and dancing rather than explicit sex scenes. If you were a producer wouldn't you rather include lots of scenes that will sell your movie rather than even a tiny bit of cultural inappropriateness that's not going to sell? Just thought to throw that in there. Calling something stupid just because you don't like/understand it is not grounds for the validity of the statement.
